Every day is the first day of the rest of our lives, so the old adage is – Every day is a fresh new beginning – a new start.
What went on before us is in the past and we would do best to learn from it as it should not and must not define us.
We learn and grow from each of our life’s experiences, good and bad, happy and sad. However, each day we put into place what we have learned the days before. We grow from the pervious days, we keep what is good and throw out what doesn’t do us well.
Sometimes we have to think like that every moment, making a fresh start every time. If we make a mistake just count to five and start again.
Remember we need not let the bad or sad define who we are. We are ever changing and ever creating. We lean form everything.
That is why it is so important that we Act and not be Acted upon see https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2012-08-1320-things-to-act-and-things-to-be-acted-upon?lang=eng
